Taymor

2019 Chardonnay

Russian River Valley – Sonoma County

Tasting Notes

Taymor Chardonnay is gracefully balanced, yet sumptuously assured; a stunning example of Chardonnay for Sonoma’s Russian River Valley. This wine possesses a very pale lemon yellow tint from limited skin contact before pressing. The nose has elements of lemon meringue pie mixed with beautiful white rose.

A very full bodied Chardonnay from a single famous Russian River grower. Lots of glycerin in the mouthfeel supporting a big sumptuous white wine tasting of ripe white Babcock peaches with a memorable finish tinged with subtle vanilla.

The grapes were night harvested, cold, and taken as soon as loaded on the truck one hour to the winery where they were immediately processed. After cold settling, the juice was racked to another tank where it was allowed to warm up for a couple days before being inoculated with a specific yeast strain to start the fermentation.

Pairings and Serving Recommendations

While this wine can be enjoyed sipping by itself, its lush body will support pairing with pasta dishes in red or white sauces. Heavier fish such as tuna steaks or Halibut would pair well.

Serve chilled to retain the crispness needed to accompany good foods.
